Mega-Sena at a glance
Before we look at the figures, here are the basic rules of Mega-Sena. They determine which numbers can appear in a draw and how likely a jackpot really is.
- Main numbers: 6 of 60 numbers (1–60)
- Bonus numbers: none, only the main numbers are drawn
- Price per line: BRL 6.00
- Jackpot odds: 1 in 50,063,860
- Average wait with one line per week: about 962,766 years
The price refers to a single line in the local currency and can change, so the information of the official operator is what counts. The jackpot odds are calculated exactly with combinatorics: the number of possible ways to pick the main numbers, additionally multiplied by the possibilities for the bonus numbers if they come from a separate pool. The waiting time is this figure divided by 52 lines per year (one line per week); it is an average, not a promise.
Draw data for Mega-Sena
Our database currently holds 741 past draws of Mega-Sena; the most recent took place on 2026-10-26. Every figure below is calculated from these real results and changes automatically when new draws are added.
- Latest draw: 2026-10-26 – 7, 10, 14, 27, 36, 55
- Hot numbers (drawn most often): 10 (93×), 38 (93×), 32 (90×), 11 (88×), 46 (88×), 25 (87×)
- Cold numbers (drawn least often): 24 (62×), 29 (61×), 18 (59×), 21 (58×), 26 (57×), 12 (54×)
- Longest absent (draws since the last appearance): 34 (44), 45 (41), 32 (40), 59 (36), 12 (35), 46 (33)
- Average sum of the main numbers: 183.36
The figure in brackets behind a hot or cold number is how often it has been drawn so far; behind an overdue number it is the count of draws that have passed since it last appeared. All of this describes the past and says nothing certain about the next draw.
How to read lottery statistics
A frequency analysis simply counts how often each number has been drawn in past draws. From these counts we derive three common views: hot numbers (drawn more often than others), cold numbers (drawn less often) and overdue numbers (many draws have passed since they last appeared). The interactive tables above the text show the same data in full, including the top and bottom ten.
Every draw is independent
A lottery draw has no memory. The balls or the random number generator do not know what was drawn last week, so a number cannot be “due” and a hot number is not “on a streak”. Believing otherwise is known as the gambler’s fallacy. Whatever the statistics show, your chance of hitting the Mega-Sena jackpot stays exactly the same.
What statistics cannot do
Neither statistics nor number generators can predict a draw or improve the odds. With 50,063,860 possible jackpot combinations, a single line has the same chance whether it consists of hot numbers, cold numbers or simply 1-2-3-4-5-6. We say this openly because no serious provider can promise otherwise.
What they are useful for
Statistics make the history of a lottery easy to understand and can be a pleasant way to choose numbers. They can also help you avoid very popular picks such as birthdays (numbers up to 31) or neat patterns on the ticket: this does not change your chance of winning, but if you do win, you are less likely to share the jackpot with other players.
Play responsibly
Lottery is entertainment, not a source of income. Only play with money you can afford to lose, set a fixed budget and stick to it, and remember that you must be of legal age to play. If gambling stops being fun, talk to someone you trust or contact a local support service.
