Official participation is through the retailers and platforms of the lottery's home country. Courier services buy tickets for players abroad; check beforehand whether this is permitted in your country.
Taxation depends on the country. The Netherlands has a gambling tax (kansspelbelasting) on lottery prizes; the Nederlandse Loterij provides details. Foreign players may be subject to different rules.
In addition to the 6 main numbers, a reserve number is drawn from the remaining 39 numbers. Its role in the prizes is governed by the Nederlandse Loterij's game rules.
